I have been waiting for year and a half to get a disability rating on my neck. The VA said they can’t find any information in my medical record of any injury, so I had to get a buddy to write a letter to support the evidence that was discovered by the VA specialists which shows that I had injuries to my neck and spine. I’m currently 60 percent disabled — for years I didn’t know that I could get my rating re-evaluated. No one at the VA tells you this information, you just have to discover it on your own. During the process of getting my neck evaluated I had a Doctor tell me that I was at risk for heart disease because I had hair in my ears.
